We recently posted a blog … Simple Daily Reminders to Self, where the use of 5-minute checklists was discussed. The process is to have 8–10 checklists to select from on any given day.

If you are in a business where you deal with people on a regular basis, like we are, your motivation and attitude need to be in ‘top gear’ (as it will usually impact most issues of the day). By spending 5– 10-minute reading and thinking on the items in the checklist, you will be better prepared for the events of the day.

Check this out: How Can People Spot Intelligent Person Characteristics?

Here is a checklist we use to get to put a perspective on attitude so that it is the best possible to achieve the day’s success:

You can’t predict the future so why think that you can.

You won’t please everyonedon’t worry about those you don’t.

Not everyone you meetis going to like you.

Only YOUcontrol your destiny. Take initiative on your own behalf.

It is not always worth itto get the last word.

Listenbefore speaking and listen more than you speak.

Don’t waste your energyon negative people or situations.

You can only help peoplewho want to be helped.

Appreciate and respectdifferences in others.

And most importantjust breathe.

What do you do to get yourself and those around you in the right frame of reference for top performance?
